Inspired by being lost in Auckland this small abstract combines urban geometric forms with layered brushstrokes. Deep blue, rich purples, soft pinks, hints of yellow and contrasts of red suggest the vibrancy and diversity of the city as well as the unexpected charms found in wandering. Set into a muted, grey background, the jewel colours are symbolic of the sensual joy experienced in this particular rainy, atmospheric climate.
