This painting was made whilst exploring the idea of “spell” and the magical and sensual feelings associated. I worked slowly on this series, without intention other than to savour moments with the materials and lightly hold the idea that i wanted to collect different and mysterious elements in the manner of gathering components of a spell. The cake is a symbol of layers of reality but more it is about a sensual, reverential moment.

Once your order is received I will sign the painting and seal with a layer of gloss gel medium. I then polish the surface to create a rich, gentle sheen like a soft pebble. Please allow 7 days for delivery or contact me at nicolabeattieart@gmail.com so that I can ship earlier.
