Inspired by the seaside, this painting began with soft greens but a rich brown and warm yellow developed into a 1970s homage to a time when the sun seemed more relentlessly pressed to the tarmac and summer permeated with possibility and freedom. Gentle pinks dissolve like raspberry ripple icecream.
