£261.00

Sedna is the goddess of the sea and marine animals in Inuit Religion. The story of Sedna, which is a creation myth, describes how she came to rule over Adlivun, the Inuit version the underworld.

This is an abstract composition of shapes and textures in a monochromatic palette of blacks, whites, and greys.

The organic, flowing shapes may be reminiscent of sea creature, evoking a sense of play and concepts relating to intuition, the subconscious and exploration. These soft, curvilinear forms contrast against rigid geometric shapes, mirroring the balance of nature with structured environments. Intersecting lines and varying textures add complexity to the piece and may represent pathways, connections, or the chaos of life.

Mixed media on cradled, wooden panel.

30 x 30 x 1.8 cms.
