Series - SEA

This challenge was prompted by a desire to make a painting for my dad who likes the sea more than abstract art. I began to lay down paint I associate with the sea but it was the driftwood, seaweed, rust, inflatables, remnants of vintage signs that I wanted to capture. I painted to evoke unique and surprising collision of old and new, nature against artificial and sea against land.
